The core of BeDRY is built on proprietary algorithms developed through extensive clinical experience and scientific research. The system translates raw diary data into actionable, expert-level insights — while making clear that those insights are educational tools, not medical diagnoses.
Developed by memebers of our medical team, the Overactivity Index is a published, peer-reviewed clinical metric calculated directly from bladder diaries. Research shows that OI strongly correlates with urgency episodes and with maximum cystometric capacity (MCC) measured during invasive urodynamic studies. The BeDRY app automatically computes this non-invasive metric, providing vital insights into bladder overactivity without the need for immediate invasive testing.

Your Bladder Score is a proprietary composite score designed to give parents a clear, at-a-glance understanding of their child's bladder control. It is calculated by weighting 18 different metrics from the bladder and stool diary (such as voiding frequency, fluid intake, and accidents). The accuracy of Your Bladder Score was evaluated against general expert clinical assessments as part of the TRL4 validation study, supported by the Croatian Ministry of Science.
The Coach helps build healthy bladder and bowel habits. Using information entered into the diary, it provides educational content and practical suggestions designed to encourage consistent peeing, drinking, and bowel routines. The Coach aims to support healthy habits and help users improve Your Bladder Score over time.
During internal validation of the concept in 2025, the information and guidance provided by Coach showed a high level of agreement with expert review. Clinicians found the suggested routines practical and easy to follow, supporting the development of consistent bladder and bowel habits. A detailed description of the methodology and findings is available in Part 4 of The Story.
Checkpoint, Coach, and Trends are early release features under active development. These features were peer-evaluated during a proof of concept investigation at technology readines level 4 in EU (technology validated in a lab). Their outputs are informational and educational, not medical advice. They are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified physician.
